Hands on Science is a Meadow Wood PTA sponsored program. Students in 4th and 5th grade are able to participate in science experiments and dissections throughout the year, in addition to their regular science labs. The parents lead this program by volunteering to be trained to conduct the session and then work with a group of students to complete the experiment or dissection. Some of the fascinating things the 4th and 5th graders participate in include: dissecting pig lungs and sharks, making slime, studying owl pellets and pond water and much more.
