Meadow Wood is lucky to have a strong mentoring program.  Life Guards is directed by Boone Vastine and Allyn Dukes, members of St. Thomas Presbyterian Church.  Our original program , which started in 2001 - 2002, consisted entirely of volunteers from St. Thomas but has grown to include other mentors this year.  We are proud to have 20+ mentors working on our campus each week.

The mentors each meet with one student on a weely basis for an hour.  During this hour they do a bit of tutoring and lots of mentoring.  The mentors also plan group activites for all the students in the program several times each year.
